hi this is my science report

INTRODUCTERY PARAGRAPH

The name of the animal I am studying is the King Cobra. This animal interests me because it is a dangerous and mysterious animal. In this report I will be telling you about the King Cobra’s Habitat, Life Cycle, and Food Chain.
DESCRIPTOIN OF YOUR ANIMAL

The King Cobra looks like a regular snake but when it raises the head that is what makes it different from other snakes. The King Cobra is 13-18 feet long. The covering is scales and the skin color is either olive-green, tan or black and has faint pale yellow stripes down the length of the body. The King Cobra has a couple special features and they are the King Cobra’s hood which makes it look more menacing, and it’s venom which have special ingredients like protein which makes the King Cobra deadly.
THE HABITAT OF YOUR ANIMAL

The King Cobra Lives in South and Southeast Asia. The temperature here is usually 95 degrees Fahrenheit. The geography in the King Cobra’s habitat is dense highland forests.

FOOD OF YOUR ANIMAL

The King Cobra mainly eats other snakes both poisonous and non-poisonous. They also may eat lizards, rodents, and birds if food is scarce. The King Cobra is a carnivore; this is because it does not eat plants in its diet. Humans and other animals that hunt the King Cobra are large cats, Mongoose, and Raptors.
LIFE CYCLE

Breeding typically occurs between January and April, with eggs being deposited in early summer and hatching in the fall.
The King Cobra lays 20-50 eggs. The mother stays with the eggs just until they hatch. Scientist’s say they do this because the mother has a powerful appetite she could eat her own young. The babies are called Juveniles. The typical life span of a King Cobra is 20 years.
YOUR ANIMAL’S RELATIONSHIP WITH MAN

Yes, man affects the King Cobra by destroying the King Cobra’s habitat. Man hunts the King Cobra when it looks like a threat. Yes people are affecting the King Cobra’s habitat because they are cutting the forests down. The King Cobra will become an endangered species if people keep cutting down forests.

ANY OTHER INFORMATION

The King Cobra has enough venom to kill one elephant. The King Cobra genus name is Ophiophagus Hannah. The King Cobra is deaf.

Did you know? Synthetic cobra venom is used in pain relievers and arthritis medication.
CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH

Some really interesting facts I found about the King Cobra is that some people called “Snake Charmers” use a flute-type instrument to make the King Cobra dance! That is cool and weird. And the last interesting fact is that people in India in villages they worship the King Cobra and they have a special day just for that and it is called Nag-Panchami. They prey just to the King Cobra because it is said that they protect them and their wealth. One of the gods in Indian mythology called Shanker wore a King Cobra around his neck. Also one of these villages is close to my hometown in India! BIBLIOGRAPHY
